A TEA PARTY FOR YOUR CHICKENS

Chickens may not be able to cozy up with a cup of hot herbal tea, but they can still reap the rewards. Steeping Scratch and Peck's Cluckin’ Good Organic Herbs in warm water is simply another way to provide our dried herb mix to your flock. They’ll enjoy their fancy water, plus they’ll benefit from the natural preventative qualities of the herbs such as immune support and antioxidants.

Making tea with Cluckin’ Good Organic Herbs for your flock is easy. Warm up 32 ounces of water; ensure the water is slightly warm, not hot. Add one tablespoon of the herbs directly to the water or use a loose leaf infuser and let it steep for 15 – 20 minutes. Give the tea a quick stir or shake, then pour it into your flock’s waterer. If you are giving the herbal tea to chicks, strain the herbs out of the water first. Because the chicks are still small and developing, there’s a risk of them choking on the wet herbs.

Provide the herbal tea to their water once a week, ensuring that their water remains fresh as usual. For summertime months, Scratch and Peck's Cluckin’ Good Organic Herbs can also be frozen into ice cubes and served up to your flock in a bowl of water. They’ll not only have a cool treat, they’ll have a boredom buster as they bob for the ice cubes to get to the herbs.

Cluckin’ Good Organic Herbs are a good choice for chickens and ducks of all ages.* Herbs have often been used throughout history to support digestive and circulatory health. The xanthophylls in the calendula flowers deepens yolk coloring in eggs, and nettles have been known to increase eggshell strength when used regularly. The herbs in this mix have been selected for their known beneficial attributes and natural preventative properties. Always offer clean fresh water, age appropriate grit and oyster shell for laying hens.
